Is Submersible Science Getting More Popular?

Marine science has been traditionally under funded, and it's gotten much worse recently. The one bright spot on the horizon is that now there are companies developing submersibles for the m taiment market. You can actually buy a very nice submersible for anywhere from one million to three million dollars resas a bargain. But really, it's crazy for our government not to be funding more research into things to do with our ocean.
