The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 16, Verse 25

Jeremiah is in prison as the city of Jerusalem is being besieged. The idea behind the siege is that at some point inside the city, they're going to run out of resources. In Proverbs 16, verse 25, there is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Gosh, you guys, oh my gosh, gossip is one of the worst things in the world. A whisper separates close friends. Those words have the power to destroy, so much power to destroy. So we just pray, God help us to follow you and to say yes to you and to not say what doesn't need to be said.
