What Is Natural Law?
Thomas: Laws that we formulate to govern our political communities should be based on natural law or at least being harmony with it. If the family and religion are as important as I have said that they are, then legislation should be favorable to them. Educational institutions outside the family should assist parents and their obligations to form their children in virtue. Is this best done by public education or private education? It depends on the circumstances. Should religion be committed to influence legislation? if God is our Supreme National Good, then it would seem that religion should influence legislation.
