The Importance of a Fiat Currency Standard
In 1933, the U.S. government banned gold from being used as money. The move to a fiat currency standard has allowed governments to print more and more cash without limits on how fast they can grow. "I don't see the possibility of the centralized nation-state swelling to the size it's become today," he says.
