The romanof dynasty has ruled the russian empire for 300 years. The emperor tsar nicholus the second has lost his grip on power. Russia is ripe for revolution and 200 communist insurgents rush through petrograd. John reed came to russia as a journalist, but since arriving, he's embraced the far left politics of the revolution. And now, as night falls, reed finds himself born through the streets by the throng of bolsheviks.
