The AMSTAR Tool to Appraise Systematic Reviews
The AMSTAR tool, it's a tool to appraise systematic reviews and he has 16 items but I'm not going to read all of them. There are a couple of items that what is called critical domains that I sort of mentioned already. One has to do with whether the systematic review was, it was, had a protocol registered because they had plans of how to synthesize the evidence before doing the systematic review. And so this is giving you reassurances the reader that they haven't just been manipulating all this data and coming up with something that suits them. They've set out what they were going to do and they've done what they say they're going to do.
