Liz Coates, a critic who lives in LA turned me on to the thing about pathetic masculinity. She was so enraged and amused that it was feminism for boys. So she kind of gave it to me in a way. But then I realized, well, everything I like is pathetic pretty much. You know, even whether it's somebody failed like Valerie Solanus or someone very careful and theoretical like Sam Nodalani.
