The Importance of Using a Plane to Measure Greenhouse Gases

Each flight we go on, the maximum length is about five hours. Each instrument requires a different type of inlet to make sure it doesn't affect the air that's coming in. We don't want to contaminate the air when measuring. And why is it important, Joe, to measure the greenhouse gases using this approach, using a plane and going over the whole of the UK? Rather than the way we currently do it from individual sources.
