Is Self-Employment a Big Thing?

I realized I've always had a backup plan. There was no backup plan this time. If it didn't work, then I was going to be destitute and maybe on the streets. How did your dad, how did your mom and dad feel about that? Were I supportive of it or was it? No. So what did they say? "Self-employment isn't really a big thing because it's not secure as a normal job"
