Socrates' First Speech on Love
Socrates says that love is bad and you shouldn't prefer the lover because it will cause you not to behave properly. The argument essentially is that the interests of the lover and the beloved are mutually exclusive. And ultimately, even he in the later speech that he gives that has diametrically opposed conclusions to this is still going to agree that what love is being overwhelmed by desire in some way. For the beautiful, not just any kind of desire.
