The Indirect Allegory of the Future

Most science fiction is really an allegory about the present it's an indirect way to raise issues about the present through the indirect alternative world of the future. Most futurist goes that way and I think we saw this interesting phenomena where you know Drexler described great hopeful changes that would be possible with nanotechnology but he also described some things that go wrong. The government decided to have a project like using that name they just distanced themselves entirely from all the positive things becauseI thought it was associated with all associated some way bakedly with the negative things. So when you're young and you're interested in like big grand thing the science fiction is very exciting because it describes this exciting possibilities
