In the 20th century, there was a much debated philosophical question about whether there is only one all encompassing goal for a person's life. So does happiness result from attaining one goal like the most ultimate one? Or can you be happy by just having the right basket of other things? I think it's helpful to look back at Aquinas and gain a little wisdom from what Aquinas is saying.
