The Importance of Responsible Gambling in the Gaming Industry
Gambling is highly applied so I often have the opportunity to make submissions or speak with regulators and policy makers. The money that comes along with gambling has to be recognised as something that does influence the approaches that are taken. We don't necessarily want to put in strategies that are going to disrupt the gambling industry to the extent that recreational gamblers are turned away essentially but we still need to come up with something that's a balance. So I have worked with the various stakeholders and I'll continue to have the conversations because essentially there's not much point doing research if you don't take it seriously.
