I think the most important thing for sustainable weight loss is addressing hunger and satiety. So if that has to be a priority, that was raising protein and lowering carbs. I'm not a religious low carb person or a zero carb or whatever. It's if they can teach you how to address that core issue and make it sustainable, that is the most importantthing.
