The Assyrian Threat - The Year 711 BC

Jonah didn't want to go because he was afraid that if he went and preached to them, they might repent. And then God forbid God would have mercy on them. He ended up going to Nineveh then, preached to the Ninevites, and they repented - for a little while anyway. So here we are a generation later, and the Assyrians come and carry off all of Jonah's countrymen. Now Isaiah down in Judah is dealing with the Assyrian threat.
