I was a crazy reader as a kid. I devoured everything for when i was ten to 12 years old. From the age of 10, i wanted to go see a spy movie,. And my parents had said, yes, you could go on saturday, then on friday - but it's not going to work. You can put words down on paper in ways that change the inner workings someone else's mind. Never wanted to do art history professionally. It was an excuse for getting to new york and being able to tell my parents i was going to study. When i went to work at g c magazine i really just wanted a job that involved putting words on paper
