Is There a Wider Importance of Vague Language?
Tim Williamson: We need to be able to program computers to handle vague language. It also changes the way that we think about our own knowledge and ignorance, he says. But at the same time it would be a mistake to react to that by becoming completely skeptical because mixed in with all the ignorance there is genuine knowledge as well. Tim Williamson: I'm defending knowledge and ignorance are inextricably bound up with each other.
