The Systems Paradigm and the Pollution Paradise

The pollution paradigm is focusing on what policies are needed in order to reduce emissions. What you're arguing is that actually we need to embed those actors much deeper in systems, but also shape their incentives. So I suppose one way of thinking about the structural paradigm or the systems paradigm is that you sort of go beyond the idea of a single actor with their control over their emissions intensive activity. But as well as incentives, it's also things like meaning and identity that are sort of created in particular contexts.
