Thetora - Is He a Slave?
Here its talking specifically about jewish slave. And this is not someone who is actually a slave. It's more like a servant or a bondsman, because they either voluntarily sold their services for a maximum of six years, or because they stole and were unable to pay back. So the first law that wer told about him is that if he arrives by himself, he shall leave by himself. The way the tora describes someone who is unmarried is big gapo, meaning that he comes with the edge of his clothing. Their world ends where their shirt, where their garment ends.
