The Truck Stop Killer

Robert Ben Rhodes is thought to have tortured, violated and murdered more than 50 different women and girls during his grotesque 15-year spree. The secret to this killer's success was his mobility as he used a 16-wheeler truck for most of his crimes. He had been preying on hitchhikers and truckstop escorts since the mid-1970s but due to his mobility, he didn't come to the attention of authorities until 1990. His victims include an 18-year-old Utah woman who managed to escape from her torture chamber before being killed by him.
