The Evolution of Gifting in My Family

I feel like that might be a lot of maybe Asian dad mindsets. It's like, oh you don't need to get me a gift. Save this for yourself. But I think now that I'm older and more independent, it's a little easier for my parents to accept gifts. My dad was pretty similar to yours where he would be like, don't send money on like this. And when you're younger with no income, it's like you buy like the randomest stuff that's like sort of nice but still kind of cheap.
