The Limits of Clinical Examination in Trauma
clinical examination had a moderate ability to detect life and limb threatening injuries which varied by body region. Over diagnosis was more common again in shock all when clinicians were uncertain but when they included those uncertain diagnosis it improved sensitivity but reduced the positive predictive value. The study provides impetus for diagnostic adjuncts and decision support systems in trauma so Rob this really leads on nicely from that previous paper and I know I've been a good boy there I have missed out quite a lot of important detail, apologies to the authors.
