The Importance of Historical Circumstance in Knowledge

Antonio Gramsci was an Italian Marxist who wrote a series of books called this prison notebooks. They tried to silence him by sending him to prison and that totally backfired, translated into English in 1970,. I don't know what language for air he wrote it in or read it in, but at any rate became the basis for all of our critical education theory that dominates all of the schools in the West now. And so he's a very important character. He is the man who reinvigorated socialist religion on the edge of death by creating cultural understanding which allowed Marxism to be successful.
