Climate models are not clear for california on whether, on average, it's going to be drier. Ellen hannick: Unless we are able to capture that water some other way, like in the ground, and store it in the ground,. But a we dona, at a minimum, in the san joaquin valley, folks are going to have to lose about ten % of the acreage just to bring their ground water basins into balance.
