Listrine Invented Bad Breath

Listerine found that advertising bad breath was essentially four times more effective than advertising Listerine as a brand. The ads would sometimes be blunt and read halitosis makes you unpopular. They go on to read bad breath is inexcusable but it can be instantly remedied. These ads literally changed the world. They invented a problem that we did not know existed. And by inventing this problem they changed behaviour in a way that they never could have done with traditional forms of advertising.
