Using Telegraph Relay Relay to Store Information
In order to store something significantly large, you need a lot of them. So there were various techniques to store information. One was called delay line mercury. You would be able to store a bit from one end of the tube by mechanism that tapped it and create little pulses throughout the mercury. And then circle the other bit back around so that it can be continually stored there.
