The Reality of Misperception
We have a very limited view and our memories construct what we think is reality. This happens every day in the legal system. A woman gets raped and she thinks I am going to remember this man's face for the, you know, for the rest of my life. And then she gets to the lineup and there's these different faces and she thinks, I think it's number five and she picks him - he can go to jail on this stuff. So they ended up writing a book about it. His name is Ronald Cotton. He was exonerated by DNA testing. It turns out he was not guilty of the rape as he had asserted the entire time.
