The Origins of Koalas in Australia
Danielle: koalas are really important species in the dreaming stories of indigenous Australians. She says they feature as an animal that rescued humans and helped them get to safety on the land when sea levels rose. And then came a time when Europeans came to Australia, but didn't notice these fuzzy creatures at first. Danielle: Most of the stories are teaching us about balance in nature and how to restore balance by listening to the country and listening to the animals.
