Jimmy Aiken: I think that the Kalam argument is interesting. But actually, Bill and I have a lot in common. We're both Christian apologists,. Both trying to bring people closer to Christ. This is really a question of method of how is best to go about that. And we're fortunate enough to live in the 21st century. So we have intellectual tools that Aquinas and Bonaventure did not have. The findings of modern science do support the idea that the universe had a beginning. It's true that whatever begins has a cause. And it's true that the universe has a beginning.
