Ultrasound in the First Trimester

The most common indication in the first trimester defined as an ultrasound performed at less than 14 weeks and zero days. A specialized exam has components that are more extensive than with a standard examination. Specialized examinations include fetal doppler ultrasound, biophysical profile, fetal echocardiography or additional biometric measurements.
