The Liberal Tradition and Opia

Opia is basically, you know, redefining liberalism for the present. Opia in many ways is a response to the kind of Marxist, Leninist ideas of people like Kwame and Kruma. I do think that the experience is a prison that his father, Joe Opia, experienced. And in effect, the denial of rights,. the denial of freedom that his father experienced, also informed Opia's strong belief in individual freedom, individual rights and so forth.
