The Debt Ceiling Is a Big Fucking Problem

The debt ceiling is the scariest problem. They held the gun to our head and we actually negotiated with them. The way that McCarthy talks about it on the news is very disingenuous. There is a time to negotiate it and it's not now. We came close in 2011, as you may recall, really went to the 11th hour and we didn't go over the cliff. But we came close enough that our bonds were downgraded by standards and poor and it cost Americans billions of billion dollars.
