One of the main themes in the more d'Ather is chivalry. Can you explain why it's such a big part of Mallory's intention to put that in the books? I think to some extent it was the social reality, the idea of chivalry,. The idea of a chivalric code among knights. But we're in the wars of the roses and Helen Cooper said earlier that the cattle rustling, the attacking monasteries, they're attacking each other's land. It's a fair bit of mayhem, so it may be it's curious that the idea ofchivalry by a man who is himself in prison should emphasize this strongly.
