Oswald Mosley, Quote, the Age of Democracy Is Over
Oswald Mosley visited Italy in 1932 at Benito Mussolini's request. The two men both had backgrounds as socialist politicians and were frustrated with their nation's tedious political bickering. Mosley rebuffed multiple opportunities to re-enter the political mainstream, including invitations to work with former prime minister David Lloyd George or Winston Churchill. He also rejected the decision of many of his new party comrades who joined the Communist Party after the disaster's 1931 elections.
