The Richness of Life and Society

I think this notion of understanding the unwritten rules of the hierarchy, what the points are really made out of when you get them and how you get them is important work. Even in something like punk music, which is what the film that I recommended is kind of about. If there's no unwritten rules and no hierarchies behind the scenes that have interesting status currencies that go with them, you might get a very stale society that functions well but feels a little empty. This really is the richness of life, and it's silly to call it arbitrary. The silliness to it is the meaning to it.
