Occidentalism and the Socialist State
You've written many books about 20th century Chinese drama and film how does this current book performing the socialist state build on those earlier books. So, I guess work was instrumental in making prominent, the post colonial study of theater and culture. My Occidentalism my first book actually have a dialogue with sigh by saying, if you look at a Chinese story and Chinese historical and cultural ideological circumstances, Western ideas and Western theater will introduce. They are not necessarily all in pure listening Western imposing their ideas and interpretation of Chinese culture. The introduction of Shakespeare introduction of Brax plays into the Chinese stage was a production of adaptation Western theater.
