Is This a Full Moon Fever Single?
This Day is a beautiful song that would have been unthinkable even one album earlier in the Meat Puppets career because it relies so heavily upon Kurt being able to nail this melody. I'm honestly surprised this wasn't the single. It has that vibe, like they were going for their big crossover hit. The vocals on their SST releases were always at least a touch misshapen. They're rickety at best. Oh, you should hear him play live from that era. But even the studio, like, here's just for a taste.
