After the death of Inkidu, Gilgamesh left Uruk and he wandered into the wilds. His wanderings began to distract him from his grief. The hero dug wells that had never existed before. He drank the water as he chased the winds. A foreboding figure stood in Gilgamesh's path and warned him against going any further.
