The Role of Co-Regulation in Infant Development

In infants, we don't recommend letting babies cry for an hour before it's fed. That gives the baby a different message about how well somebody is taking care of their body. Toddlers need so much patience and help from us when they just regulate because they get a pink sippy cup or blue toothpaste. It requires a ton of patients from parents to know this isn't a discipline issue.
