Is There a Relationship Between Intense and Extrinsic Motivation?

There's some mix of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in cooking, probably for most people. But so this intrinsic motivation is things we do because we just, we just like them. Now, this clearly has some overlap with fun. Lots of things are intrinsically motivating because they're fun. However, i can also think of lots of intrinsically motivating activities that are not fun at all, and almost nobody would call them fun. Good example, i would say, is scrolling social media, or doom scrolling. The motivation for the scrolling is contained within the activity itself. And yet it's not fun atAll.
