The Importance of Idealism

I loved that the slaves in your novel don't all get along. They're complex human beings who have different agendas and temperaments. I wanted to explore that tension of it. Sometimes when you're in a shared trauma, it can bond you obviously in a really deep way. Other times also, again, because the stress situation, it also just going to make me hate you more.
