How Much Does It Cost to Inscribe on Bitcoin?
To make an inscription on Bitcoin each additional inscription costs some additional amount of money. This means that there's not going to be just trash that people mint speculatively and are never able to sell. So at 20k Bitcoin and a fee rate of one sat per V bite 100 kilobytes is I believe five dollars. Yeah, that's pretty solid and it's actually way cheaper than Ethereum. And so Segwit added this witness structure but Segwit had pretty strict limits on what could contain and how big it can be. Taproot retains the soft limit of 400,000 bytes still but in general taproot is much less conservative with the limits as well.
