The main characters in the two love triangles are Michigan and Rogazhin. All of them to the extent that they are in love. Nisassia's actions at least in regard to her final deciding okay I've been set on being with Rogazhin this whole time even though she's treating him like crap, is not so much exerting her freedom as her own fear or low self-esteem.
