Scripting Automation - What's the Best Way to Do It?

There's just so much you can do with it from an automation perspective. First is just native file search because there are built-in samples in the Alfred sample pack. The other one I was doing is I found a group of scripts written by Paco, P-A-C-K-A-L for Omni Focus that are just ... unicorn tears. What did they say? I don't know how to be cool.
