Berlin's Conservative Mayor

Berlin has earned to some extent this reputation as a freewheeling leftist city. A lot of people come here for that freedom and even the nightlife, but it just elected this very rather conservative mayor. Those who are within the system enjoy relatively protected status. It's people of modest and low income that either for one way or another catapulted out of that system of protection or attempting to move to the city that I think are in real difficulty.
