Some of the American socialists and anarchists were at the leadership of the anti-war movement to World War One. Christina Hetherton's new book talks about this beautifully, it's a very important book. The question is where did the socialist stand on Mexico? Some socialists went down to Mexico to fight, and they were the ones that ended up in the Communist Party. And tragically, we have more examples of socialists supporting colonial domination than opposing it.
