As a bas player, i would tell my students to leave yhe ego at home and take a spare pair of ears. Youre job is cind to understand the language with which they are speaking their point of view. In this community, everyone has a voice, saxaphon, horn, trumpet, piano. And if you can help them, either by changing their points of view by the notes you play, could you think they could be more productive following your beat or your cords?
