What Does It Mean to Be a Bas Player?
As a bas player, i would tell my students to leave yhe ego at home and take a spare pair of ears. Youre job is cind to understand the language with which they are speaking their point of view. In this community, everyone has a voice, saxaphon, horn, trumpet, piano. And if you can help them, either by changing their points of view by the notes you play, could you think they could be more productive following your beat or your cords? Then you take that chance and try to make that part of the process. But toey're not to make that choice, and will t it come time for your sol to show what you can do
