The Dangers of Financial Sanctions on the Dollar
The weaponization of these institutions and of dollar supremacy is pushing countries to look and seek alternatives. Secretary Yellen kind of, you know, admits this. She says there is a risk when we use financial sanctions that are linked to the role of the dollar over time it could undermine the hegemony of the dollar. But she admits, of course, it does create a desire on the part of China, of Russia, of Iran, to find an alternative.
