Fabriquet, Vivienne, and the Guadalupeans

Selch and Vivienne got married in 1991. They joined other activists and intellectuals from the French West Indies to investigate how history and slavery had built Fabriquet, their reality. Selch recognized this unspoken shame with its own family like how they favored all things French, rather than embracing Creole language and customs. Many Guadalupeans, like his family, had erased, et fessie, the memory of their enslaved ancestors.
