The Mastodon Tooth
The tooth was found by a woman named Jennifer Shoe, who was walking along a beach near a creek. A paleontology expert said that is a mastodon tooth and it's really important. Experts say the tooth is less than one million years old. It's quite common for storms to wash fossils from higher ground down into the ocean and then onto beaches. The tooth will stay in the museum where it will be safely displayed.
